I was just messing around with my wifes neice. He I tried to put an old screen door window down to create some reflections. Unfortunately the window was not big enough to get the whole reflection. Ohh well....

Do what I did, go to home depot or lowes and get a full sheet of plexiglass. Only costs about $35 and it's strong enough to have people walking and dancing on it.

How long before it's too marked up to look good?

Not long. Plain ole Plexi isn't very abrasive resistant. But there is certain Abrasion-Resistant Polycarbonate sheeting available, but it costs! About 400.00 a sheet deending on where you live and shipping.

Of course, if you work at it, you can keep a sheet pretty clean by limiting the time that models wear their shoes on it. I use the cheap stuff, too. But I have the models walk on a cloth protector as much as possible to keep it clean. It helps, but you do get some marking and it shows, according to how you light it.

not long, just like everything else, it depends on how well you take care of it.

The sheet I have costed me $75, I thought It might be better than the $35 stuff in terms of scratch resistance..... It's not....

Now I just spend alittle extra time in photoshop removing scratches. Here is my latest shot with the scratched up plexi. http://www.adaptiveod.com/photography/portrait/october06/16kim/_MG_2402edited.jpg

She's a cutey pie.

Great shot...to get that reflection angle to include her try shooting down on her more to change the angle.

I was doing a reflection shot with an older person who obviously could follow directions. Having her slightly look down and me standing up a little over her I caught both.

This is a great shot even w/o her face reflection.
