I bought a canon i9900 a year ago and also purchased a 2 year replacement package. Recently the printer died and now compusa is telling me they can not replace it since they no longer carry it. They are asking me to choose from a list of printers on the follow page:

I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for me. I heard good things about the epsons, maybe someone can give me some suggestions based on their experiences. I would like something that prints 19x13 like the Canon if possible.

Thanks in advance

Sorry I should also say that I have a $500 limit since that is what the canon cost me

That page doesn't work, fwiw. The Epson R1800 is an absolutely amazing printer, and it blew my i9900 away. I'm sorry I sold the Epson, I just rarely did any printing at home. Doooo it. It has a direct CD print tray, does 13x19's, has the nicer pigment-based inks instead of dye-based like the Canon, and uses a handy gloss optimizer that kinda protects your prints. Use it on some Ilford paper, and you've got smudge-proof, moisture-resistant prints that should last a good 150 years.
