Which stands for Rocky Mountain National Park. I had the opportunity to visit this park back in September on a business trip. Here are some highlights from the one day excursion there.

This was at 14,000 feet

Love the shots. I wish there was places like that here in Ontario. If I want to go anywhere near mountain areas like that I would have to travel a minimum of 13 hours by car.
My fav is the one of the stream with the small waterfalls. The offset angle of the camera really gives it a distinct look.

great photographs; however, your black and whites seem a little too gray o.O but very nice depth

That place is what heaven is like for all of us who love photography... picture after picture after pic... they're stunning!

I really like the first one actually... even though it's grey toning, it looks fantastic just how it is. The details on the stone are fantastic... well done you!

Wow, these are some excellent shots. I am suprised this thread had so little comments. Nice work, the last one is my personal favorite.

Awesome shots. I like them all, but my fave is number 4. The way you captured the water against the fall colors does something for me. I couldn't figure out if the limb was fallen into the water or jutting out in front of the shot. Either way, it is a great shot. The texture in the rocks is awesome. I also think it would be cool in b&W!

I'm jealous! Having a good camera makes me want to travel...they are all great shots, but the last 3 are my favorites.

Thanks all for the kind comments!

I don't know what's up with the b&w. I know I was trying to go for an IR look for the very last photograph.

mommymomo - I was suprised the water shot came out as well as it did. I wasn't able to bring my tripod with me on the trip, so I sat my camera on a nearby rock. I held it as steady as I could. I really didn't expect it to come out as well as it did.

katescape - Yes photography certainly makes you want to travel. I honestly have a list written down in my room of the places all over the United States and the world that I would like to travel to and document with my camera, lens and eye. Luckily now that I graduated college I will have the opportunity to do that.

You're lucky living so close to there! Unfortunately I know we were only able to see a small portion of the park. I have been looking on some web-sites, and saw some other portions of the park that just had magnificent views. I hope to travel back there someday.

I would imagine that you wouldn't be able to get out there now with the winter you guys are having out there.

Thanks for the compliments!

Lovely photographs, all of them really capture me, I love the minature waterfall onto the rocks. All those deep browns, wonderful!
