a hairlight woulda been nice, since she's got that dark hair and the black bg

u can see her head fine. all the way around it... if it were blending into the background i would be worried about it, there is still full detail.

i'm not worried about it. make as many recommendations as you want. yes her hair is dark with a black bg and a hair light would of created a nice crisp outline and brighten that side of her hair about a half stop or more... i agree. i'm sorry i didn't agree before.

yeah i have been but not with this one... this was all camera raw ;-) i imported like 4 or 5 different versions of the same image... i've always been a contrast freak, so higher the contrast the better.

Oh I see.

Yeah it's funny, I just figured photographers these day only know how to adjust saturation on photoshop/lightroom.
I forgot you are in photography school so at least you have common sense! Sorry I wasn't giving you the benefit of the doubt.

lol it's cool man, no worries.

yeah... i try to do as much as i can in raw be4 i open it in photoshop... but nothing too extreme. i'm still learning lightroom :-)
