One more time! LOL (Is ok Steve, I needed the practice typin!)
Professional photographer of about 22 years. Currently I own a full service studio in the Houston, TX area. (Texas City, TX where BP goes BOOM!) We specialize in traditional portraiture, weddings, bridals, seniors, school and school sports, events and commerical images.
I have a strong background in film, and have used a wide array of camera systems over the years. I originally recieved my BA in Fine Arts (Photography) from RIT in NY. I am a member of PPA (working on CPP and Masters) as they consistently work to support professionals in this field; I am also active in TPPA and HPPG. Later I continued my education and received my MBA in Finance and MS in Accounting (CPA) from UH Houston, and have a background in business and commercial real estate. Through my affiliations in IT I became familiar and interested in Digital when the first DSLR's were available. (Wasn't too impressed with the results back then, either!)
Aside from photography, I love Mountain Biking and spend a good bit of my free time traveling to challenging courses and riding. When I am not doing that, I spend time behind the lens producing images for Fine Art prints that grace my home and office walls, and those of my family and closes friends. (I don't sell them.)
Up until March of this year our studio maintained a wet-process lab/darkroom in house. We have since phased that out and 90% of our images given to clients are printed on Epson K3 Wide format printers. We still maintain a dark room/leb for B & W / E-6 work.
Currently we use Mamyia RB/Z 67 and Sinar P2 for film; and Canon 1D Mark II's DIgital. Most of my Glass is L, though I do have some other brands that I really like and work well.
My favorite aspect of photography? Has to be the clients and the challenge of capturing an image that will produce a WOW reaction when presented to them.
There you have it...now its your turn.
