Red Deer

The picture below was taken very shortly after the park opened. I was walking towards the area the Red Deer used for the Rut and this stag reared his beautiful head out of the braken. I was still switching on the camera but I took this shot.

DAMN! What a beautful animal. It is a little out of focus and its a shame. This would have been a national geographic shot!

Unfortunately the stag did not stay still. As soon as I took the picture, it ran away. I never did see that stag for the rest of the day.
