So i went to the art gallery today to pick up my invitations for the upcoming show and what not (which btw, opening reception is located at 1 High st. Mt. Holly, NJ *which is the intersection of High St. and RT-537* Nov 14. at 5pm :D ) ... as i was walking around i noticed that one of my photographs wasn't the right way. the had it vertical when it was suppose to be horizontal... this small mistake changes the composition completely and these were being juryed... although it wasn't my strongest piece i had placed in the show it still pisses me off because of the fact that i met with these people and showed them how everything was suppose to be facing. I mean WTF? maybe i'm just pissed because i've had a long day lol but yeah sorry for my little rant, but it is photography related lol anyone else done any shows where they messed up your work?

Oh heck, just tell them what happened and I'm sure they'll remedy the situation. Mistakes happen. The person that was hired to put that picture up probably doesn't have an artistic background and understands your composition. That's why they're the ones putting the picture up instead of having their picture put up. ;-)

You would think the gallery would pay enough attention, especially if you took the time to show them how it should be shown....

I would just be happy to have my stuff hanging in an art gallery, even if it was sideways. :)

I haven't done any shows but that would piss me off too!! You have every right to be mad...you took the time to show them your pieces and they still manage to screw it up...
