    Took the plunge

Since we are redecorating and will be printing a fair number of larger photos for a gallery wall, I decided to drop some dough for an Epson R2400 printer.

So far I have printed one black and white at 8.5 by 11 which came out very well (considering it was taken on a camera phone and converted to b&w). I won't push the size any further with that type of shot but am now looking forward to printing some big photos. I am going to order a roll of paper and see just how far I can push some panoramics (I need one shot at 12" by 48" or so).

If anyone needs big prints, let me know and we can work out a deal.

  2. How are you enjoying that printer? I would like to get my hands on one, just a bit too much for me at this time. Specially because nobody wants to see my photos that large anyway.

The printer is working very well. I haven't really done much with it yet though. I am happy with the prints that are coming out of it but I have yet to callibrate the my system for colour accuracy.

I am about to prepare a gallery wall in my home and will probably be doing black and whites this time around. Soon I will hitting-up faction members for permission/access to some high res files.

If you do want a test print from this printer, pm me and we can work out the details to get a file.
