I am not sure what you mean? Do you want them all on top of each other or do you want them next to each other?

Put them all as seperate layers, and then brush in the parts you want to keep over the main layer?

To go a little deeper into this...

Open the first, or the base image.

Then open the second image and hold the Ctrl and hit A, this will select the whole image and you will see a marquee box around the whole outside edge.

Now hold ctrl and hit c, this will copy the image to you memory (clipboard)

Now go back to the first base image and hold ctrl and hit V, this will paste the second image on top of the first image as a new layer.

You can do this with as many images as you like.

To see the layers dialog box so you not how many layers and which one your working on hit Windows at the top menu and make sure there is a check mark next to layers. If there is not click layers and the box will show up.

Let me know if this helps, if not I will answer any other questions you have.

I am sorry I didnt mention that part.

Ok well I am not sure how tony did it in his picture but this is how I would go about it.

Layer them with the cut and paste technique we talked about.

Here we open the base image and the layers palette. You can open the layers palette by clicking view on the top menu and clicking layers.

Now we open the second image and use CTRL+A to select all. Then we use CTRL+C to copy it to the clipboard. You now can close the second image and focus on the base image which should still be open. Click CTRL+V to paste the second image on top of the base image as a layer. You will see a new layer be created in the layers palette.

Now you can select the layer you want to work on. For this we need to select the second layer, which is the one will will mask. Now click the add layer mask button (shown below) to create an invisible mask on the second layer.

Now use a paintbrush, airbrush, whatever you like. I use different brushes in different situations, but for this tutorial I used a normal paintbrush. When you paint onto the layer mask with black, the layer underneath the working layer will show through. You can use the opacity to only make it dimly see through.

Here is lowered the opacity of the top layer in order to see where I needed to paint to make the lovely girl show through the top layer. When I am done painting I will just raise the opacity to the desired level.

Now I am finished painting and turned the opacity down all the way to show you a before image.

Here is the final product with the opacity set to almost 90% It gives me a nice transition into the background.

I hope this helps, I am adding a poll to see if this is good enough to make it to the tutorial section. I could have done it neater but I was out shooting from 4 am till 9 pm and I am beat.
