    Good composition. You have created a number of interesting shapes with everyday items. Both the area of greatest contrast, pencil tip vs. paper, and the angles around it lead our eye where you want it. This is how you compose an image. However, you are lacking some contrast. If you have PS you can do this with the Levels Adjustment. It's a great tool because it let's you see what you are changing as you change it and you can dial in the exact amount you want.
