Thread: Post your Fifty!

  1. Post your Fifty!

I have heard so many wonderful things about this $75 nifty fifty. I was wondering if you folks would be kind enough to post some images taken with it. Can it really be as sharp as everyone is saying for that price? If so I don't know how I would pass it up!

one of the first with my new camera.

  8. My 50 1.8 is the cheapest lens I own, and also one of my favorites. I see no reason to buy the 1.4 or 1.2L. The 1.4 has some serious performance issues, and the 1.2, well, drop THAT and it's big bucks down the drain.

This is handheld, available light, no color balance since I love the yellow, 1/15 second at f/1.8, ISO 800, Canon 30D.

  9. I unfortunately don't have any samples of this lens. I really don't use it too often, the poor thing. However, with the times that I have used it, it has just been great. It's definitely worth the $75 price tag.
    Canon l SanDisk l Manfrotto l Tiffen l Hoya l Cokin l Adobe

Dumb question, with a 50mm lens you have no zoom then, right? It is about what you can physically see through the viewfinder?
