Thread: Magnolia

    Photo was taken with the Canon 30d with the canon 60 mm macro lens.
    In N.E. Pa magnolia trees are hard to find.

  3. Thanks ,I appreciate your critique. We don't have many magnolia trees in the N.E. part of Pa.I'm lucky enought to have a neighbor with a tree and I take advantage.

    Sometimes as photographers we are counting on texture to carry the image for us. When that happens we have got to be scrupulous about focus because any softness can kill what we are trying to accomplish. You have very successfully avoided that pitfall with absolute razor sharpness and a great composition. However, there is almost a clinical feel to it; like it should be in a college textbook. It's not a reflection on your skills, just the subject.
