Thread: Olympus? Anyone?

  1. Olympus? Anyone?

I bought my Olympus E-520 last year after seeing "lot of camera for the money" in multiple reviews. As it was all I could afford, I went with it. It's pretty good for most things. I love it for straight up everyday shooting, but action shots and panos are darn near impossible! Why does this thing take at least 3 seconds to write after each pic? It doesnt matter if I use xd or microdrive. With moving clouds, it is impossible to stitch a pano without terrible lines. And any action is long gone by the time this thing writes, unless I'm in burst, in which case it takes 3 seconds per pic once I let off! Does anyone out there know about Olympus?

  2. I know a lot about Olympus ^_^ I did a bunch of work for them I own an E-30 and shoot they will be giving me the new EP-2 i can't wait!!! anyways. my only problem with their cameras is the noise. besides that, their glass is extremely good (minus their kit/standard lenses). Olympus, as well as leica, was one of the companies that made it's name with their lenses... however their pro glass is far from cheap lol but you're paying for something that is nearly perfect.

  3. ps. microdrives and xd cards are slow. get a new CF card, that'll help u out. also, put it on burst H. that camera is also only 3.5 frames per/sec. so it's going to be slow anyways.
