You know that piece of gear you had your eyes on? The one that is just slightly too much to validate the purchase? Well how does $100 off sound to you?

The Focus Faction Raffle works a little differently that most raffles. You do NOT need to purchase anything in order to enter our raffle, all you need to do is something you would do anyway... POST!

That's right, EVERY new thread created after this thread (#2111) until January 23rd will be entered into our raffle to win a $100 B&H gift card to spend on any piece of gear on your wish list.


I am not big on rules, but unfortunately we need just a few:
Raffle Rules:
1) You must be a registered member with at least 10 posts to win. If a thread created by someone who does not meet this criteria we will select another winner. Ten posts is not a hard thing to do, specially since a new thread or reply to an existing thread count towards your post count.

2) Please do not make a thread just for the sake of making a thread. We expect every thread to have some kind of meaning whether it be a question, sharing a photo, or discussion about a product.

3) Focus Faction admins, super moderators or moderators are not eligible.

That's about it as far as rules go, I hope everyone will participate and have fun!

I just wanted to add that we are hoping to bring back the monthly photography contests which used to have great prizes and a lot of great photos. We are starting the new year with a raffle to see if we can generate some activity and participation. If everything goes well and participation allows, we are planning a contest with a very generous prize to kick of on February.

I was struggling with how I was going to be able to do this fair and square, so I decided to let the computer do the thinking for me. I came across a site called random.org which has a simple concept. You give you two numbers and it will generate a random number in between them. I hope everyone thinks this is a fair way of doing it and also that everyone had fun.
