attachments

Why can we not view the attachments, where it looks as if the moderators and select few that run this board can?
Quite frustratating.

Oh...is that the reason? I thought they had been removed by the poster or were outdated for some reason. If they are meant for only the Adms or Mods, they should be moved to a separate folder, along with a note that they are not open to all members.

That is only my assumption as the ones who reply to any of the messages regarding attachments are the moderators and admins. Everyone else just post that they can't see them.

Can you please point me to a URL of an example thread? Anyone (Registered Members) SHOULD be able to see attachments.

I am assuming you are probably talking about really old threads. Some of the threads are from FF version 1. We had a hacker gain access to our servers and slowly screw with all the database and PHP files. When we finally found the problem and corrected it some images were lost. You may come across some really old threads that have no attachments, but people have already replied before the image was lost.

Does this make sense? Any thread/post after November 2009 (when we corrected the database) should be visible to anyone. Also a lot of the old threads did get corrected as well, but some did not.

there were some new post just the other day. I will try to post the URL here for you.

The moderators and admins were commenting on it but couldn't see it

Thanks for posting this information.... I will look into this, it is odd, seems like something is missing from the database.

Walkabout, did you delete the attachment by any chance?
