EQUIPMENT::::
You will need some off camera lighting
- speedlites are great because you can throw them behind furniture & don't need to run power cords everywhere.
- alienbees lights are good for filling really big spaces and really bright locations, but limited if the area has no power outlets unless you bring a vagabond power pack.
- quantum q flash - small & versatile, don't need to be plugged into the wall, very good light output, kinda expensive...
You will need a Tripod
- Make sure you get something stirdy
- Good tripod head.... You will need to take multiple exposures. Clicking the shutter and rotating the shutter/aperture dials will move the camera position if you have a crappy tripod head. will result in a lot more time spent in photoshop if you have to re-line everything up
- Laptop - You can control your cameras shutter/aperture using a laptop, this is the best way to get precise perfect dead on images for shooting multiple exposures.
Wide angle lens
- The wider the better
- I would recommend 16-35L and a 15mm fish
Full Frame Camera
- I recommend 5D or 5DmkII
COST::::
Plan out time, investments, costs before you give them a quote.
This includes travel time, processing time, setup & shooting time, assistants hourly time, etc...
Investments include equipment that you might need to purchase that you currently don't have...
Costs - gas/food/hotel stay (probably provided), hourly assistants pay, your hourly rate for shooting, hourly rate for editing, cost of material, etc....
Then add everything up for a grand total.
Then double the total or add whatever $$ amount you want to the total
