Photo was taken in June of last year. I used a Nikon D50 with the nikon 70-300 vr lens.
Camera was set to manual and shot at
f5.6 at 1/500 sec. the ISO was 200 and the lens was at 85mm.

    Any comments

  2. Get a Circular Polarizer. A small bit of reading about them will teach you what to do and will make you skies pop and also help the waters. Nice leading line of the poles of the break nice and straight. Once again you are just off center with the waterline. Try this when looking at this photo see it full frame then scroll down some as you cut off the sky some and see what your eye likes better. For me it is just above the bird I would remove the rest of the sky.

Richard that is a great idea of viewing it full screen and then scrolling down to where your eye likes it. That little trick will help folks cropping pictures- me included.
