    Saddleback Caterpillar Macro Shot

Size: 172.0 KBI ran into this little beautiful caterpillar while trimming my hydrangia plant in Marion, North Carolina. I didn't know what he was until I looked it up. Luckily, I didn't make him upset because when I researched, I learned that they sting like a bee!

Shot taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5700, auto setting in Macro mode

Great picture. glad you didn't get stung
I see the primary light was on the right presumably from a window? seems a little over exposed on the right but that could just be my laptop screen tonight.

What a great find...and a great shot to boot. I love the dramatic lighting. Yes, it gets a bit hot in places, but your are certainly on the right track. Hope you make some more great finds like this when the snow clears.

  4. What a great Caterpiller. The turm HOT is refurring to the white spots on the back(if you did not know)
