My name is Lynne and I happened to see an add for this site on Facebook. I know nothing about photography and have always wanted to take a class, but can't find anything local.. so I thought I would come here and see if I can glean any great ideas.

Welcome to the group. The biggest thing you can learn here is post in the forums and understand the critique is not meant to hurt your feelings but rather help you.

So with that said, go out there take pictures, and post them.

When you do post, tell us a little about the shot, like your camera make and model, what lens you were using or what settings on the camera.

Welcome, Some of the best things to do is find out what you like to photograph. I have done Nature (Likes this the best) weddings , school portrait, sports portrait, sports and some nude & fashion work. I like bugs and bee, ducks and flowers, waterfalls and landscapes more then people. They don't talk back but they don't carry cash also. so you have to wait for the person who likes the photo to buy it.
