The first one is my favorite, don't know if it the rule of thirds, the depth of field, or what but it just jumps out to me as my favorite. The second one is also very nice, did you shoot in macro or just crop the pictures to get in so close?

  3. I also like #1 best. #2 is very nice also. # 3 is soft out of focus but then again so is #1 the eye is not sharp it is the rule of thirds but wrong , it should have more in the top right ( BUT WAIT FOR IT )... It is ok cause we know that Butterfly dont always go forward so the Natural Movement is not hindered. I know how hard it is to shoot these guys cause we have a place "Magic Wings" in Mass. that is real nice. If anyone takes the trip to it you can drop the wife off at Yankee Candle. Right down the road (Note she will be there just as long as you are in the butterfly house). The thing is these places are very warm if not hot so the butterflys are moving, so the software that stacks images won't work here, but you can increase your F stop. That is if you are shooting reg close up vs. macro and if macro increase alot lol.

  4. These were all shot with my 100mm f2.8 Canon macro lens. I to think that the first 2 are better. I have hundreds of pics from this palace and Have spent 3 trips there over the last 2 years. I send the wife shopping and get to spend about 4 hours each time takeing pics.

  5. High 5 to you Muskie
