New studio rooms

I took some empty space at the studio and tried to setup up some more a formal sitting areas for pictures. I am not done with it, and still working on the lighting. However my brother called me today and begged to come by with his daughters for a couple of pictures before thier father daughter dance. I was there anyway shooting a baby today so why not.

The room is a work in progress, basically four walls showing 4 different styles. I have to work on the lighting some, and reflections from the umbrella's on the pictures on the wall. I have not edited the pictures other than cropping them to a 8x10 aspect ratio, and ran the batch to insert the wrong copy right year. I started to mess with a reflection on one picture and stopped. I will post the completed pictures later.

Again this was just to show the room I created in the studio. You ought to see it, 4 fireplaces, one on each wall. Most of the furniture came from a connection I have a retirement community. Grandma would move in there and need to get rid of some furniture... Still a work in progress. I mess with it on and off when I am in the mood. getting closer now. My contractor who helped, thought I was nuts, as he had never done anything like this.

Very nice I like what you have done. If Possable Paint each wall a differant color Dark rich RED, Med Blue, Green and your soft yellow. Just watch out for your corners like in Photo 1 lt hand side. Even a wallpaper print splitting a small wall. Thoughs behind that is small walls will aways be 1 or 2 people but if you get a big group you need room. Not everyone will look there best w/ the soft yellow walls

PS What is the power cord at the girls feet on lt hand side? Why is it there and never have Trip Haz. in the studio no need for anyone to take away your hard work. You have done some great detail work in here. Just watch for FOD turm used in the Air Force for trash or things that don't belong. ( last photo on the ground at wall lt hand side) also keep a vac w/ a hose near by helps w/ the fringe on the rugs. Hope you like my hint.

Richard, very good points. The room wasn't quite ready for prime time but I convinced to do some crazy things for family. I will definitely keep a better eye out for things on the floor. I chose floating hardwood as the floor, but it shows everything too..
The reason I chose the same wall color was for the corners and such, but your right I might need to think about the other colors I can see where that would help.

Another thing is if you have a Photo Class in your local High School you could ask about interns to be used as assistants. This is a great way to get some help teach some of the ins and outs you are more focused on the people and they can watch the room for the FOD's and changing the settings. If not just put an Add in the paper.

I knew you were not done yet with the room but just wanted to point them out to you. cause sometimes you see the lady in the mirror other times you see the old couple but you realy can't see both at the same time. I love to share my thoughts thats why I do this. It is never for a knock at someone it is just the way this old fart sees it.
