    Just for you, Richard...

    A few weeks ago Richard announced that he would be having surgery on the 4th, and would not be in any position to do any shooting while he recoverd but would have loads of time to critique. I told him that in his honor I would post several of my 'Near Misses' to let him exercise his rapier wit. So, in his honor, here is the first of several that, IMHO, are not yet ready for prime-time.     I had high hopes for this image when I shot it, but have since given up. Even after trying every post processing trick in the book, this image simply lacks something essential.

  2. do you hdr? and who many shots like this do you have. great lo cal . i think in light room you can push photo up or down a level if you dont have more then one the combine in hdr mode. oooooo h make me think on percocet's thanks some much F.

    No, I don't do HDR, though this may have been a good place to try it. My impression of HDR is that it tends to eliminate the sense of "light" that I am most often in search of.
