Thread: Frames

  1. Frames

    What is everyone's take on adding frames to a photo? Do you think it looks bad or do you think it makes the phot look worse or better or the same?

    I votes sometimes. It really depends on the use. If it is a webpage image and you have no control over the background, a frame can help bracket your image and keep the focus where it counts.

    Take a look at the difference between your avatar and mine. Yours has a border which nicely frames it, mine sort of bleeds into the backgroung.

  3. I personally say never, only because I never bother to do it. I have seen some great photos where the frames really work though.

  4. I think it all depends on the photo. I will add for some and not for others. It's really a judgement call. I do think frames should almost always be kept simple though so they don't distract from the photo.
