Does anyone have one of these things? My hubby received one as an early Christmas gift and I was wondering what everyone though of these gizmos.
I have yet to touch it, but wanted some input from all you pros out there!

If you don't want it, you can "throw it away" my direction!![]()
If you edit photos, you will love that thing. I don't even use a mouse on my computers or laptop. I have Intous 3's. If you have any artistic ability or have ever painted, you will REALLY love it. One of the best things is the pressure sensative ability of the pen. You can't do that with a mouse.
Hook it up and load the driver, then give it a whirl. I am willing to bet you will like what you have.
The 6 x 8 format works well with the new larger LCD's out there too. I only use a small 4x6 on my laptop, (15.4") and 9x12's & 6x8 at the studio. The more area, the more control.

My hubby has been using it. Not me. But I was wondering what you all thought.
Yes although my daughter spilled iced tea on mine and it doesnt work anymore I loved it. It is nice for adding shadow or doing dodging and burning. I also got a kick out of the fact that you can turn the pen over and use it as an eraser like a real pencil.![]()

eeeek. I reckon this one cost about 350 and i cringe at the thought of the tea spillage. hope to use it soon.
I've been wanting one for a good long while now, but when the money is available, there always seems to be something else I need to buy.
They're absolutely awesome, though. Try it out. Seems weird at first, but boy..it sure is a help. PS is so much easier with one, to me.

DEFINITELY an excellent tool to have with Photoshop. I love how it has the pressure sensitivity so it makes dodging and burning a whole lot easier.
I did a massive photoshop job recently and that would have saved me at least 4 hours of editing with a mouse, to cut out and highlight objects.
If I ever got one it would be the 6 x 8, the others are too small to work with (I would use it on the iMac 20" or on my 2 x 19" PC setup).
Des.
i use mine every day, i love it, i use the wireless mouse for browsing and then grab the pen when it's time to edit. You'll never go back!![]()
I have one and its an indispensable tool for doing selective adjustments.
And the sensitivity plus the pen tool makes it a necessity in doin serious retouch work![]()
