The first shot had highlights which are too blown out. All the whites kind of blend together. But good feeling...

The second shot is nice, I dont know about the angle, but I like how you left the lamp in the foreground. Its something most would shy away from.

  3. The concept of the first photo was ok. You just need to adjust the exposure.

  4. I love the concept of that first photo, very creative! I see the point of the poster above, it does seem slightly blown out in the white, but the feel is there and that is all that matters to me!

I saw an ad once for a photographer who had once been a high fashion photographer in New York and was now shooting weddings in Miami. I was curious to see how he blended the two styles. As you might expect, every shot was absolutely crisp in focus and exposure. What I did not expect was that every shot was taken at an angle like your second shot here. It was kind of his signature. Angles like this create a kind of energy in an image and young couples tend to find that kind of energy appealing. However, a little goes a long way; I don't think most couples would want a whole album full of these kinds of images. What keeps your shot from being stunningly good are the distractions: the piece of wall and the lamp. As a photographer you are responsible for everything in your image so there is no excuse for these to be there. Pause, take a step to the left and take the shot; it will still be there. Patience is a virtue in photography, too.
