Thread: Raw images

  1. Raw images

    i just got CS2 and when i try to open my RAW files in it it says file not supported! i shoot with a D50. can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong here? as you can tell i'm not a computer whiz! let me know if you need any additional info.

    Try downloading and installing this:

    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html

    Its from adobe and it is called Camera Raw. It is the raw conversion tool for RAW support. It only has the d40 supported but I am sure it will work with the d50.

    Open the images through bridge first. Then that should take you to the camera raw thing, where you can make some edits before opening in photoshop.

  4. u just need to update your drivers that supports those files. even if you are opening it through the picture bridge u'll still need the update.

  5. Is it possible to use RAW files with PS CS? Right now I have to open it in Adobe Elements to make it work.

  6. thanks everyone! i'm gonna try downloading what quazi posted. i tried opening them in bridge and, like 206 said, it doesn't work. i'll let you know tomorrow if it worked.
